The halo construction here is more involved than a standard single-row frame. Baguette stones are placed at the cardinal points around the round centre, and the spaces between them are filled with curved rows of round brilliants so the halo reads as two different stone shapes alternating around the centre. That combination gives the setting considerably more texture and depth than a uniform pavé halo would. The split shank runs two parallel rails of pavé down each shoulder, and the double rows continue around a significant portion of the band. The overall effect is high-density stone coverage from every angle.
