The chain carries a repeating station pattern: a pear-shaped diamond cluster above a small marquise pair, then a gap of a plain gold bar, then the pattern repeats. Both sides mirror each other as they converge toward the drop. The pendant itself is stacked vertically: a princess-cut ruby in a diamond frame at the top, a pavé connector in between, then a pear-cut ruby in a milgrain halo at the base. The two rubies are different cuts and slightly different tones, which gives the pendant visual depth when it catches light. Yellow gold throughout.
The station chain is decorative enough that the necklace looks complete whether or not the pendant drop is visible. Works with both open and partially open necklines.
